Unitard! Ahhhh!

First of all, last night I tried on my unitard for CATS! It doesn't look as bad as I thought it was going to. (I mean as far as the fit) Now as for the airbrushing it looked amazing! The guy did such a great job with them. Well, only six are done but he's doing such a great job. I'm sooo excited!!
As for the rest of my life it's pretty boring. Nothing's going on in the "love department". Well unless you count a little bit of flirting here and there. But I don't think it counts since all girls flirt. Ummm... oh apparently someones been getting out of class and "vandalizing" the bathrooms so now when ever we leave the class we have to sign this log thing. And carry a hall pass of course.

AHHHH!!!

I just got an email from one of the producers of CATS and theres only three weeks left till load in (load in is when we move to the place where we are actually doing the show. We build the set and it marks the beginning of tech week AKA heck week) Anyways... it's not that I don't think we'll be ready. We are finishing the last big dance number tonight. All we'll have left is a couple scenes where we basiclly just sit around and act interested and sing of course. So we will have plenty of time to run it and clean things.
However, the director said we need a lot more help building the set. He told us it's the same people every week which is only about three people. I'm not too worried about the costumes. We are getting the unitards airbrushed by a guy in Ashland and parents are knitting leg warmers and making tails. We also already have the wigs and they look awesome. Makeup is a whole different story. A professional from Marshall is coming to teach us, but I'm not the best person when it comes to make up. And (as hopefully someone out there knows) CATS make up is far beyond your regular stage makeup.
Really I guess I need to stop worrying. Anyways... thats all for now. ttyl Bye Bye! :]

Singing Telegrams

Hello all! Today was sooo much fun! :] I went around singing to people and when I wasn't singing I got to hang out in a teacher's room all day. It was great! I listened to my ipod, hung out w/ the other people who were singing, and I got to visit other teachers I like. I even helped my science teacher grade papers and she gave me 5 blackhawk bucks. ( we get those if we do good stuff and at the end of each grading period we can use them to pay our way to some fun activity) So that was cool. That's really all that happened today. You should know my life isn't too exciting. Sometimes its depressing but I'm happy. :] See... I'm smiling. hehe

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! It's a snow day! WOOHOO! :] I guess we'll have to do singing telegrams tomorrow. But I think I would have rather gotten it over with today. And I also would have like to have gotten the depression/ jealousy over with. ( you know seeing all the people at school doing things with their significant other) Oh well I've got three valentines: Caleb, Alex, and Chris. I feel quite loved. hehe :]

I don't have play practice tonight. ( they don't have it on Wednesdays because some people have church. I am one of those people. Well not tonight though. They canceled church because of the weather. I guess my Valentines Day will be spent sitting at home with the folks. Which is fine. We will probably watch High School Musical because First Stage Theatre Company (it's children's theatre. Only up to seniors can do it unless there are adult parts in the play then sometimes they will use adults. That is who's doing CATS. First Stage I mean) anyways... they are doing High School Musical in the fall. I know the stage version will be quite different but it's still good to see it. Actually my parents and I are going to see it done in Ashland.

Today...

Hola! Nothing too exciting is going on in my life. Well we had a 2 hour delay so that was nice. Tomorrow (the dreaded V-Day) I ge to skip class all day because I'm singing singing telegrams. I'm kinda nervous about the whole thing. I mean I have to go into class rooms and sing for people. I'm not too sure how I feel about that. I have to sing to a teacher's husband. Which is twice as embarassing as singing to kids my age.

As for the theatre world, also pretty uneventful. Last night we started working on the Jellicle Ball. (if anyone out there knows what in the world I'm talking about I would appriciate a comment) I think it's going to look awesome. Last night our choreographer said CATS id probably gonna be her last show. Was sooo sad. :[

Early Valentine's Day thooughts

Hey everyone. You know I was thinking... for me Valentine's Day always seems depressing because I don't have anyone to share it with. You all know what I mean. A lot of people at my school are all like, "What should I get my boyfriend? I wonder what he'll get me." I always get my hopes up and think, "Maybe someone will leave a note in my locker or maybe..." I'm always daydreaming about all the possibilities. I know I sound like some desperate dork and maybe I am. I do have friends and we always have a great time together and we all agree V-Day is depressing but in the christain magizine I get, Brio, (it's a great magizine for teen girls I really like it and find it very encouraging and I would suggest it to anyone) they were talking about V-Day and about making Jesus your Valentine. It made me think wow, why am I sitting here depressed when I've got the greatest Valentine of all, Jesus Christ. It's hard not to get caught up in it all and not to get jealous of all the girls who have a guy. But I've just got to remind myself I've got Jesus.
Ok sudden change of subject. Please comment. Or at least read my stuff. I'd like to know there's someone out there who's reading this stuff. lol :]

My First Blog Entry

Well this is my first blog entry... OK well I'm Mags. I do well in school and I love to do theatre. I've been doing it since I was six and I can't imagine what I would do in place of it. Right now I am in the musical CATS. It is really different from other musicals. First of all you aren't even playing another person you are a cat. And let me tell you that is not easy to get used to. You constantly have to think would a cat do this? Well really a cat wouldn't sing and dance but hopefully you know what I mean. I'm Jennyanydots and in my song I get to tap which is my favorite kind of dance. We were supposed to have a long rehearsal yesterday but our choreographer is having hip problems. So right now we are up a creek without a paddle basically. Telling us what to do only goes so far but she's great. Well I gotta go. It's getting late and I've got school. (I'm praying for snow) Oh also I am a christain so I'm going to apologize ahead of time if I offend anyone. I love God and well I'm trying to make him a big part of my life. Well that's all for now.
